100 Word Challenge - Road Problems

Road Problems
I stomped my foot on the brake as the traffic light turned red
suddenly. The car stopped. I blinked. Breathing hard, I sunk
slowly into my seat. As the light turned bright green slowly,
I started to go slowly, my car going slowly but steady. Suddenly
some idiot  dashed in front of me with his car. I had to stop
mid-road. My mind was whirling. This guy just... I shook my
head. I had to keep going. The light. I rolled my eyes with disgust
and pressed on the acceleration. I was so cross that I almost did...
never mind.

The crash

The crash Boom, boom went the house, shaking as if a giant  was walking right beside it. Splash, splash went the bath water, sploshing as if the ocean waves were breaking in the tub. Crackle, crackle went the fire in the hearth, flaring as if a volcano was erupting in the lounge. Swoosh, swoosh went the curtains in the bedroom, swirling as if the wind was howling inside. Clang, clang went the pots in the kitchen, singing as if they were toddlers making music. Honk, honk went the car's horn, crashing as it flew uncontrollable into the tiled roof of the house.  Leah

Mess We Made

Splat! ‘Oh good gravy what are you doing?’ yelled Susie. ‘Why, I'm making pie,’ replied Mia. Mia was making pie but it wasn't in the kitchen. It was on the ceiling and just to make it worse it was the wrong colour. Jack thought it a joke but it was a prank that backfired, pie landing on Jack as it fell. Ha! Jack had such an ego. Meanwhile... boom! Oh no, what a catastrophe and dad was nearly home. 100 kids were left to turn this bomb shelter into a castle. Luckily, they did it. The house was pitch perfection. Tipani
